European Social Innovation Research brings together research on social innovation, social enterprise and public sector innovation. It has been developed and funded through the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development of the European Commission, under the topic ‘New innovation processes including social innovation’.
This website is one of the deliverables of the TEPSIE project, a research collaboration between six European institutions which aims to understand the theoretical, empirical and policy foundations for developing the field of social innovation in Europe. The TEPSIE project explores the barriers to innovation, as well as the structures and resources that are required to support social innovation at the European level. The aim is to identify what works in terms of measuring and scaling innovation, engaging citizens and using online networks to maximum effect.
By compiling European research on the subject, this website aims to inform and support the work of researchers, practitioners and policymakers working in the fields of social innovation, social enterprise and public sector innovation.
